ASSETT Named to 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia

It was announced today that ASSETT was named as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia. ASSETT, is proud to have been awarded this honor. President, Evan Kohn, stated, “Being named one of the best places to work in Virginia truly gives us something to be proud of. It’s a testament to how talented our employees are, and the enjoyable workplace we maintain.”
This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
  • Be a publicly or privately held business
  • Have a facility in the state of Virginia
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the state of Virginia, and
  • Be in business a minimum of 1 year
Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Virginia and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.

ASSETT Awarded SIBR Phase III for Engineering and Architecture Analysis AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System

ASSETT recently received funding under Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III topic N05-149.

ASSETT has won the award to support the Submarine Combat System Program Office in achieving their Strategic Vision for the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System by performing engineering and architecture analysis, providing recommendations and prototyping candidate solutions.

ASSETT Awarded Multi-Year Contract for Remote Multi-Mission Vehicle (RMMV) Software Reliability Enhancement

ASSETT, Inc., Manassas, Va., has been awarded a contract to perform the systems engineering, analysis, and testing required to develop modern, modular, and open architecture software for the Remote Multi-Mission Vehicle (RMMV).

The scope of the effort starts with requirements clarification, hardware analysis and interface analysis, and continues through mission and vehicle control subsystem design and development. The effort concludes with integration and testing of a software package that is ready to be deployed on existing and future RMMVs.
